Texas Chili Recipe

Texas chili recipe as the name would infer is the official dish of this enormous state. This dish combines all the flavorful goodness of only the finest ingredients that are known to impart the wonderful aroma as well as satisfying taste that is truly Texan chili. It features ground beef that is slowly simmered in a sauce so packed with personality that you will never mistake this one when compared with all the rest that are boasted of in the vast wide spread landscape that is the state of Texas.

Whenever you see a Texas chili recipe you just understand that it is an adaptation of the Tex-Mex style of cooking that are often seen in the American southwest. You might think of San Antonio when you place this chili on your tongue, where many Tex-Mex recipes got their start. Close your eyes and you may be able to envision the men and women of that day busying themselves on cattle drives, working in missions or toiling as they built the railroad lines.

It was this time in the West that demanded only the heartiest of fare, and Texas chili certainly filled the bill. The women from the missions during this era would cook up large kettles of this dish to bring to the market area to feed to the hungry crowds.
